How FEEA helps (video)

"FEEA plays a critical role in helping federal employees," President Colleen M. Kelley said. "Federal employees are not immune to financial issues large and small, and FEEA is the only charity devoted solely to federal workers."

FEEA, of which NTEU is a founding member, provides grants, emergency no-interest loans, and scholarships for civilian federal employees, including NTEU members, and their relatives, and is funded largely by donations made by fellow federal workers. From unexpected car troubles to catastrophic tornadoes, there have been hundreds of situations over the past year where FEEA provided much needed help to federal employees.

A faltering national economy, pay freezes, higher costs for food and medical needs are some of the factors causing a rise in the number of federal workers turning to FEEA

Over the past several years, the need has, at times, outpaced the number of donations coming into FEEA, particularly right after major catastrophes, such as last year's tornadoes. NTEU members can make individual donations year round at FEEA.org.
